People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing something specific, or you might simply have a sense that things don’t feel quite right. You don’t need to have a clear goal or know exactly what you want to work on — we can explore this together.
I work with adults who may be experiencing:
- Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
- Low mood, sadness, or emotional numbness
- Low self-confidence or self-esteem
- Difficult or painful past experiences
- Relationship or family difficulties
- Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure who you are
- Repeating patterns that feel hard to change
Some people come to counselling to talk through a current situation, while others want space to explore long-standing feelings or experiences from earlier in life. There is no right or wrong reason to seek counselling.
Counselling offers a chance to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening for you. It can support greater self-understanding, emotional awareness, and self-compassion, and help you find new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Sessions are led by you. Some weeks you may want to talk; other times you may want to reflect quietly or explore things in a different way. Everything we do is guided by what feels most helpful and supportive for you.
